Kitchen Cabinet Cost in Brunei
Last updated:
There is no useful single figure without the room, layout and specification. A reliable comparison starts by making sure the quotations describe the same cabinetry.
Searching for a kitchen cabinet price? Use this guide to understand what changes the scope. Exact cost comes from the measured project and a written quotation.
Start with equivalent work
Why kitchen quotations differ
A similar cabinet length can hide a different project. Check what is being made, how it is specified and which work is included before comparing the quoted totals.
Go to the quotation checklist- Cabinet quantity and configuration
- Base, wall and tall cabinets serve different jobs. Drawer banks, appliance housings, pantry units and islands change fabrication, internal fittings and installation requirements. Cabinet length alone does not describe these differences.
- Fronts, fittings and worktops
- The named door specification, selected hinges and runners, storage accessories and quartz details all form part of the scope. A shelf cabinet and a drawer cabinet of similar width do not contain the same components.
- Delivery, fitting and site work
- Check whether quotations include the same delivery, fitting and quartz work. Access, room readiness and work by other trades need to be understood before the scope can be confirmed.
Layout changes the scope
Compare the room and cabinet arrangement together.
Single wall and galley
A single wall concentrates cabinetry and appliances along a run. A galley introduces opposing runs: access between them, appliance door openings and the separate worktop lengths need to be planned.
For either arrangement, separate base, wall and tall cabinetry in the quotation rather than reducing the whole kitchen to a per-metre comparison.
L-shaped and U-shaped
Changes in direction introduce corners, cabinet junctions and worktop junctions. Confirm how corners will be used, where doors and drawers open, and which areas have shelves or selected corner fittings.
The shape does not determine the specification. Compare the measured runs, cabinet types and access requirements within that layout.
Islands and pantry storage
An island adds cabinetry, exposed faces and worktop requirements beyond the wall runs. Appliance integration or a sink also changes what must be coordinated. Tall pantry storage brings its own shelving, door and accessory choices.
Plan a kitchen island or explore pantry cabinetry before confirming the cabinet scope.
Wet and dry kitchens
If the project includes separate wet and dry areas, identify the cabinetry, appliances, sink positions and quartz work in each area. Confirm the relationship between the spaces and which work is included in the quotation.
See the planning guides for wet kitchens and dry kitchens.
Name the specification
What is the cabinetry made of?
Ask for the materials and fabrication details in writing. A finish name or a photograph alone does not describe the complete door, cabinet or worktop specification.
- Carcass
- Caramella's standard kitchen carcass material is ENF plywood unless another material is agreed. Record any agreed variation in the quotation.
- Doors and fronts
- Name the finish, substrate, profile and fabrication method. Confirm the selected sample or product reference and its availability. Where Shaker fronts are specified, Caramella uses HMR MDF, CNC from China.
- Edge sealing
- Caramella uses PUR adhesive for edge sealing. Make the edge-sealing method part of the written specification.
- Hinges and fittings
- Blum CLIP top is Caramella's primary hinge, with DTC as an alternative. Name the agreed hinges, drawer runners and accessories; identify models and quantities where relevant. Premium accessories are a selection to confirm, not an assumption about every kitchen.
- Quartz stone
- Quartz stone is Caramella's current kitchen countertop offering. Confirm the selection, dimensions, edge details, sink and hob cut-outs, junctions and installation scope. See the quartz countertop guide for planning considerations.
- Coastal specification
- Coastal projects may use genuine Blum hardware and PVC kickboards where specified. Confirm the project-specific kickboard and hardware specification in writing.
Storage choices change what is included
Describe what you want to store and how you want to reach it. Then compare the internal arrangement and selected fittings, as well as the outside dimensions.
- Shelves and drawers
- Shelving and drawer banks use different components and fitting quantities. Confirm the shelf arrangement, drawer locations and selected runners rather than assuming equal cabinet width means equal scope.
- Pantry and tall storage
- Simple shelving and a fitted pantry accessory are different specifications. Record the internal arrangement and any selected accessory by model and quantity.
- Corners and organisers
- A corner solution needs to suit the cabinet opening and surrounding doors. Organisers also depend on the drawer or cabinet they fit. Include only the selected items in the agreed scope; an accessory photograph does not establish inclusion.
Appliances and site information
A room photo or rough plan can start the discussion. A final quotation depends on confirming the information needed for the agreed cabinetry and fitting scope.
- Appliance models and dimensions
- Share the intended fridge, oven, hob and other appliance models, dimensions and fitting information. Housing, openings, door movement and required clearances affect cabinet planning.
- Room, openings and services
- Provide room measurements if available, with door and window positions, intended sink and hob locations, and relevant water and service locations. Confirm site dimensions and appliance clearances before fabrication.
- Access and readiness
- Explain delivery access and any site constraints, existing cabinetry or unfinished work. Identify which preparation and trade work must happen before fitting, and who is responsible for it.
Keep this beside your quotations
What should a kitchen quotation clearly state?
Ask each provider to describe the same project. If a detail is missing, have it clarified in writing before treating the quotations as comparable.
- Measured layout and cabinet scope
- Room dimensions, base, wall and tall units, islands, pantry storage, corners and appliance housings, with the internal arrangement identified.
- Carcass, fronts and edges
- Carcass material, door/front finish and substrate, profile, fabrication method and edge sealing, including any agreed alternatives.
- Hardware and accessories
- Selected hinges, runners, handles and storage fittings, with brand, model and quantity where relevant.
- Quartz and appliance integration
- Quartz selection, dimensions, edges, cut-outs, junctions and fitting; appliance openings, clearances and any integration work included.
- Delivery, fitting and exclusions
- The included delivery and installation work, site preparation responsibilities and any work to be quoted or arranged separately.
- Drawings, timing and warranty
- How production drawings will be confirmed and signed off, when production timing begins, and the applicable written warranty. Caramella provides a 1-year structural warranty.
Scope and production timing
Agree the cabinetry scope and responsibilities before confirming the order.
- Caramella's normal scope
- Normal scope is cabinetry unless separately agreed. Structural work, plumbing, electrical work, tiling and work requiring ABCI approval are outside normal scope unless separately agreed.
- When production timing starts
- Production lead time is typically 10–14 weeks from confirmation and customer sign-off of the production drawings. This is production timing, not a whole-project completion guarantee. Coordinate site readiness and other trades separately.
Use the right guide for the next decision

- Planning wardrobes as well?
- Compare wardrobe dimensions, fronts, internal storage and fittings separately from the kitchen scope.
From rough enquiry to written quotation
Bring the room and your priorities.
Share room dimensions if available, appliance models, your intended layout and storage priorities. These give the discussion a useful starting point; necessary site information and the agreed specification must be confirmed for the written quotation.
