Wardrobe Cost in Brunei
Last updated:
A useful quotation comparison starts by checking whether both quotations describe the same wardrobe.
Dimensions, fronts, internal storage, hardware, fittings and site scope all affect a wardrobe quotation. Use this guide to decide what belongs in the written specification before comparing wardrobe prices in Brunei.
Start with the scope
Why two wardrobe quotations can differ
Similar fronts can conceal very different storage. One quotation might describe a shelf-and-hanging layout; another might include drawer banks, organizers or a desk. A lower quotation may simply contain less scope.
- Measured dimensions and cabinet sections
- The overall width, height and depth, and the number and configuration of sections, determine how much cabinetry is being specified. Compare the same measured run.
- Fronts, finish and hardware
- Hinged and sliding fronts use different hardware arrangements. The selected front construction, finish, profile and door system should be named rather than left to assumptions.
- Storage, features and fitting
- Shelves, drawers, hanging arrangements and accessories change the work inside. Special niches, integrated desks and the agreed delivery and fitting scope also belong in the comparison.
The room and configuration change the scope
Compare the wardrobe that fits your room and storage priorities. House type or neighbourhood does not establish its layout, and a configuration name alone does not describe everything included.
- A full-height fitted wardrobe or a smaller run
- Confirm the actual extent of the cabinetry, including any upper storage, end panels or returns. A shorter run and a full-height wall should not be compared as the same scope.
- Hinged or sliding fronts
- A hinged wardrobe quotation should describe the doors and hinges. A sliding wardrobe quotation should identify the selected sliding system. Plan door movement around the bed, room doors and nearby furniture; clearance depends on the actual room and chosen system.
- A Walk-In room
- A Walk-In wardrobe quotation needs a room-specific layout and an agreed list of cabinetry and fittings. Drawers, shoe storage, lighting or an island are choices to specify, rather than automatic inclusions. See the Walk-In wardrobe planning guide.
- Desk-integrated or niche storage
- Identify the desk, display niche or open shelving separately so its extent, finish and fittings can be compared with the same features in another quotation.
What should the written specification say?
Ask for the selected details, including any exceptions.
-
The carcass
Caramella's standard carcass material is ENF plywood unless another material is agreed. PUR adhesive is used for edge sealing.
The quotation should identify the selected carcass material, relevant finish, edge treatment and any project-specific exceptions.
-
Doors and fronts
Record the hinged or sliding arrangement, selected finish, substrate where relevant, profile and selected hardware or system.
Where Shaker fronts are selected, the specification is HMR MDF, CNC from China. Shaker is a selected front option; it is not the specification for every wardrobe.
-
Hardware and accessories
For hinged cabinetry, Blum CLIP top is the primary hinge line; DTC is an alternative hinge line. For sliding doors, the selected mechanism or system is project-specific and should be identified in the quotation.
For drawers and accessories, identify the selected runner or accessory model and quantity where relevant. Additional drawers, organizers and fittings change the project scope.
-
Internal organization
Agree how hanging, shelves and drawers are distributed between sections. Luggage, shoes, accessories and occasional-use items can require different storage arrangements and fittings.
Compare the actual internal layout. A wardrobe with mostly hanging space is a different specification from one with many drawers and organizers, even when the outside looks similar.
-
Special features
An integrated desk, display niche or open shelving should have its own agreed scope. Lighting is a project-specific feature only when separately specified; it is not automatically included.
Electrical work remains outside normal cabinetry scope unless separately agreed. Confirm responsibility for any required work before the cabinetry is fitted.

Compare the same wardrobe, line by line
Mark each item as included, excluded or needing clarification in both quotations. Resolve missing details before deciding whether the two totals describe comparable work.
- Measured size and configuration
- Do both describe the same width, height, depth, cabinet sections and hinged or sliding arrangement?
- Carcass and front specification
- Are the carcass material, finish and edge treatment named? Are the front finish, substrate where relevant and profile clear?
- Hinges, sliding system and accessories
- Are the selected hinge line or sliding mechanism and the drawer-runner and accessory models identified? Are the relevant quantities stated?
- Internal layout
- Do the drawings or descriptions show the same hanging arrangements, shelves, drawers and storage fittings?
- Desk, niche, open shelving and lighting
- Is each special feature explicitly included or excluded, with its extent and selected finish or fittings recorded?
- Delivery, fitting and room preparation
- What delivery and fitting work is included? Who is responsible for any structural changes, electrical work or other room preparation?
- Production drawings and sign-off
- What information must be confirmed, and when do you approve the production drawings? Is the stated timing clearly limited to production?
- Warranty terms
- What does the written warranty cover? Compare the stated coverage rather than assuming that every material, finish or accessory has the same terms.
Confirm the boundaries before proceeding
Clear scope, timing and warranty wording help you understand what the quotation commits to and which work needs a separate agreement.
- Cabinetry scope
- Caramella's normal scope is cabinetry unless separately agreed. Structural changes, electrical relocation or work, and other room-preparation work are outside that normal scope. Confirm the delivery and fitting scope in writing. For coverage, see service areas.
- Production timing
- Production lead time is typically 10–14 weeks from confirmation and customer sign-off of the production drawings. This is production timing, not a whole-project completion guarantee.
- Structural warranty
- Caramella provides a 1-year structural warranty. Confirm the written terms; this statement does not extend the structural warranty to finishes, hardware, moisture damage, mould or accessories.
From quotation scope to room planning
This page explains what changes a wardrobe quotation. For room planning, wardrobe types and completed Caramella work, see Built-In Wardrobes in Brunei.
- Walk-In planning
- Walk-In projects have room-specific planning considerations. Use the Walk-In wardrobe guide to consider the room before confirming the cabinetry and fittings.

Share the room and the storage you need
Where available, send room dimensions, room photos, your door or front preference, storage priorities and any desk or niche requirements.
These details improve quotation accuracy. The final quotation depends on confirmed project information.
