Plan cabinetry around Hari Raya
When you have a date in mind, begin with the room, decisions and written scope. Do not assume that a seasonal deadline can be met until the schedule is confirmed for your project.
Start here
Confirm the room measurements, appliance models, service positions, finish selections, other trades and the date you are working toward. Ask for the schedule and responsibilities in writing before approving production drawings.
Decide the brief early
- List the appliances and storage needs that must fit.
- Identify the sink, plumbing, electrical points, windows, columns and wall returns.
- Review available door finishes using the physical sample, and confirm its current availability.
- Agree the countertop, kickboard, hardware and any internal accessories in the project specification.
- Share your target date before the scope and schedule are approved.
Know what the production timeline covers
Caramella's stated production lead time is typically 10–14 weeks after the production drawings are signed. The project quotation confirms the applicable schedule. This is a production lead time; it does not describe the full duration of a renovation or guarantee a particular installation date.
Before approving drawings, ask which events start the schedule, what decisions are still open, and how changes after sign-off affect the plan.
Separate cabinetry from other work
A kitchen may also involve removal of old units, plumbing, electrical work, tiling, countertop templating, delivery and installation. Confirm which items are included in the cabinetry quotation, who coordinates each trade, and when the room must be ready.
For remote locations or homes with access constraints, include the address, access notes and any relevant building requirements in the project discussion. Delivery and installation arrangements should be confirmed for the specific project.
Keep the material choices explicit
For a Caramella kitchen, the current standard is ENF plywood carcasses unless another material is agreed, with PUR edge sealing. Kitchen countertops are quartz stone; confirm the selected kickboard material and base detail in the project specification. Confirm the selected finish, hardware and accessory model in the written specification. A board classification by itself does not establish moisture performance or a health outcome.
Questions to ask before setting a deadline
- Are the measurements and appliance details complete?
- Have the final production drawings been approved and signed?
- What is the current production window stated for this scope?
- Which delivery, installation and other-trade dates are separate from production?
- How will design changes, material availability or site delays be handled?
- Does the written quotation describe the warranty scope and any exclusions?
