The Temporary Kitchen
The biggest challenge is feeding the family when your main kitchen is a demolition zone. For large Bruneian families, this requires a strategic backup plan.
- Designate a "Clean Zone": Move your fridge, microwave, and rice cooker to the dining room or a dry area away from the dust.
- The Air Fryer is King: For 7–10 days, an air fryer and rice cooker can handle almost any Bruneian family meal.
- Disposable Triage: Avoid the "dishwashing in the bathroom sink" nightmare by using biodegradable paper plates for the first week of installation.
Managing the "Renovation Dust"
In our humid climate, construction dust sticks to everything. This is where Caramella's factory model shines. Because we cut boards in our factory before delivery, on-site cutting is minimized and the cleanup load is much lower for your home.
- Daily containment: Seal renovation zones with zip-door plastic barriers and run an exhaust fan toward windows, not into bedrooms.
- Aircon protection: Clean split-unit filters every 2–3 days during active installation to prevent fine dust buildup.
- Humidity control: Keep indoor RH around 55–65% with dehumidifiers so dust and moisture do not settle into soft furnishings.
- Install sequence: Final silicone and hardware tuning should happen after heavy dusty work, not before.
The 4-Day Installation Target
Traditional contractors might take 4 weeks to install on-site. We aim to have your primary cabinetry installed in a fraction of that time, minimizing the logistical stress on your household. Ask us about our "Clean Install" protocol.
